Analysis vs. Sensory Perception

Sommeliers may not like to hear it, but there are other criteria for evaluating wine beyond aroma, taste, and color.
At W&G Wine & Health, the focus is on health-promoting compounds—polyphenols and flavonoids.
A chemical analysis determines the type and quantity of these compounds in the wine. Whether the bottle costs €5, €50, or €500 makes no difference to the analysis device. We pour the wine into the machine, and it provides an objective result—regardless of the label, the winery’s reputation, or the winemaker’s fame.
W&G Wine & Health certifies wines based on its point system. Independently of price, origin, or a sommelier’s opinion, the wine sample receives an award—or it does not—based solely on its health-beneficial content.
