Blaufränkisch Leithaberg DAC Put to the Test
In the weeks leading up to Christmas, W&G Wine & Health tested Blaufränkisch wines from Leithaberg winemakers. After analysis at the Federal Institute of Klosterneuburg, the wines were awarded the W&G Quality Seal. Details are now available at www.wein-gesund.at.
The W&G sommeliers, Dr. Walter Kutscher and Dr. Bernulf Bruckner Jr., conducted the sensory evaluation. All wine ratings exceeded 90 out of 100 points. For wine lovers, this means a combination of enjoyment and health benefits. Moderate consumption of these wines—one to three glasses of 125 ml per day—can lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart attack by up to 50%. Additionally, the immune system is strengthened, and the aging process of body cells is slowed down.
