First Attempt: Exploring Phenols in Wine with Nose and Palate
On October 10, W&G Wine & Health will present its concept at the invitation of the Vienna Sommelier Association (WSOV). The focus will be on the positive effects of moderate consumption of phenol-rich wines, including the significant reduction of heart attack risk, lower blood pressure, and slower cellular aging.
For the first time, an experiment will be conducted to determine whether the phenol content in 16 wine samples can be detected through sensory evaluation. The key question: "Can a trained wine palate actually taste phenols in wine?"
We will keep you updated on the results of this experiment.
