Univ. Prof. Dr. Peter Lechleitner joins the expert team of W&G Wein und Gesund

As a highly respected and recognized specialist in cardiology, gastroenterology, intensive care medicine and sports medicine, Univ. Prof. Dr. Peter Lechleitner served as Head of the Department of Internal Medicine at Lienz Hospital, senior consultant of the internal intensive care unit at the University Clinic Innsbruck, and President of the Austrian Society for Internal Intensive Care Medicine.

As the author of the book Götter in Weiß (Molden), and through scientific lectures on the “health effects of wine”, he has dealt with the effects of moderate wine consumption.

“I advocate age-appropriate health behavior with a sense of proportion, where abstinence and joylessness are not the main focus.”

He did not begin holding this view only after deepening his wine knowledge as a graduate of the Austrian Wine Academy.
